Spring Is Here!

Hello Dear Yogis,

Spring is here—a season of renewal, fresh energy, and new beginnings. As the days grow brighter and colour returns to the world around us, it’s a beautiful reminder of the opportunity for growth and new starts within ourselves as well.

I hope during this spring break you’re able to take some time to pause, breathe, and truly enjoy this transition. And speaking of transitions… we have an exciting one ahead!

New Season, New Space When classes resume the week of April 13, you’ll be arriving at our new yoga home: 1831 King Street East (corner of King & Barons) The Church of the Nativity

You’ll find easy access directly from the parking lot, and everything is conveniently on one level. A fresh space to match the fresh energy of the season 🌿

🌿 Gratitude Check-In Last but not least… how did you do with our gratitude “homework”?

  • Writing down 3 things you’re grateful for
  • Sending positive and inspiring messages
  • Writing that full-page letter (whether you sent it or not)

I’d love to hear how this journey has been for you 💚

As we step into this new season—both in nature and in our yoga journey—I look forward to welcoming you into our new space and continuing to grow together.

See you on your mat, 💚 Darlene

Celebrating 16 years on March 10th

Dear East End Yoga Community, On March 10th, East End Yoga celebrates 16 years — and it feels like the perfect moment to pause and say thank you. 💛 East End Yoga has never been about a building. Over the years, we’ve practiced in shared spaces, adapted, shifted, and continued on — always grounded in breath, movement, and connection. What has remained constant is the community that gathers, week after week, to show up on the mat. For 16 years, you’ve brought your presence, your curiosity, your resilience, and your willingness to practice — wherever we’ve been meeting. That is what has allowed East End Yoga to continue and to grow. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has practiced with East End Yoga over the years — whether for one class, one season, or many years. Your support and trust mean more than I can say. Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to 16 years of moving, breathing, and practicing together — and to whatever comes next. With gratitude, East End Yoga  🧘‍♀️ Celebrating 16 years on March 10th 🧘‍♂️

Welcome Back, Everyone & Happy New Year!

It’s so nice to welcome everyone back to class as we step into 2026 together. A new year offers us a fresh beginning—an opportunity to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and continue building strength, balance, and ease both on and off the mat. May this year support you in feeling grounded, grateful, and gently inspired.

Class Updates The website has been updated with the full winter schedule. Zoom links will be sent out Monday and Tuesday this week, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

December Coffee Meet-Up – Thank You! A big thank you to everyone who joined us for coffee at Fortino’s at the end of December. It was wonderful to see such a great turnout—and yes, the caution tape truly did its job reserving our section! Always a lot of laughter and good conversation.

—such a great memory.

Looking Ahead – New Focus for 2026 Part of our 2026 program will include opportunities and gentle activities to help you explore your gratitude journey throughout the year—if you choose to take part (and I truly hope everyone does). You’ll hear more about this in class over the coming weeks.

As many of you know, each year I like to introduce something new to keep classes fresh and engaging. This year, I’ll be adding more components focused on lymph drainage in most—if not all—classes.

What to Bring to Class Please bring a tennis ball or pickleball—any small ball that fits comfortably in your hand and can be gently tossed. Please note: toning balls are too heavy for this purpose.

Next Coffee Meet-Up Friday, January 30, 2026 10:30 AM Location: To Be Determined More details coming soon!

Meat Pie Orders – Deadline This Week The church will be making meat pies again this month.

  • Pickup:January 15, between 1:00–3:00 PM, or at your next yoga class
  • I must place the order this week, so please email or text me by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 7if you’d like to order.

Thank you all for being part of this wonderful yoga community. I’m looking forward to sharing another year of movement, connection, and mindful moments with you.

Warmly, Darlene East End Yoga

May the new year bring lots of bending, twisting, stretching, balancing, and moments of calm and connection—both on and off the mat. ☕ One Last Coffee Meet-Up for 2025 I’m going to try and slide in one more coffee meet-up before we say goodbye to 2025:
